We have a purpose build canine treatment room on site at Sun Hill. While I am happy to treat your dog in their own home, some owners feel happier bringing their dog to us. The choice is entirely up to you.

For a dog who has just received a diagnosis for OA or hip or elbow dysplasia with associated lameness, I would likely recommend weekly appointments for 6 weeks and then review progress.
The number of treatments required will depend on the nature of your referral. Please get in touch to discuss your horse or dogs specific requirements

"Musculoskeletal maintenance care for a healthy animal does not require delegation by a veterinary surgeon. an animal declared healthy by the owner, in cases where care is given to maintain good health and optimise competition performance, can be seen without specific veterinary referral with the caveats stated. This covers the areas of maintenance care and competition care"
As a consequence of this statement, permission to treat animals will only be sought where there is a known injury or disease that is related to the reason I have been asked to treat the animal. if veterinary consent is required, you will be send a form for your vet to complete prior to your appointment.

Yes, most insurance providers do cover the cost of complementary therapy but please check your policy details.
We will not claim the costs for you and as a small business, we are unable to wait for insurance claims to be processed. Therefore, all payments must be made by yourself at the time of treatment and receipts will be provided for you to make a claim.
No, you can send your horse for rehabilitation without veterinary referral. However, if the horse is currently under veterinary care and that is the reason for rehabilitation (eg kissings spines, tendon injury, etc) then you need consent from the vet to receive treatment. If you wish to claim costs on the insurance they will require veterinary referral.
Yes, of course, We just ask that you make an appointment to do so. The horses staying with us are here to recover and need routine and relaxation.
You will also be sent regular updates on your horses progress and invited to attend to work/ride/receive a lesson with your horse as they near the end of their stay.
